Europe’s biggest New Year’s Eve stage
On December 31 2017, the historic city of Zakopane in the south of Poland, was home to one of the largest public festivities celebrating New Year’s Eve in Europe. The team at ARAM worked alongside over 70 additional crew members led by the world-renowned production designer Giorgos Stylianou-Matsis and lightning designer Adam Tyszka, to deliver state-of-the-art video technology and lightning setup for the event.
The result ? A spectacular design, fully complementary to the unique positioning of the stage – right at the foot of the Tatry Mountains – anticipating and countering the weather conditions, and providing a completely unique viewing experience to fans on-site and online alike. Over 90,000 visitors enjoyed the show live, with over 7,9 million viewers tuning in to the TVP2 broadcast.
“We’re incredibly proud to have been able to work together with one of the largest Polish broadcasters and many talented designers and directors on Europe’s biggest stage celebrating this special moment of the year” said Rafal Mrzyglocki, CEO at ARAM. “ARAM specializes in designing and delivering interactive multimedia productions for a variety of events, but Sylwester Marzeń was a very unique project to work on. Due to its location, the scope of festivities and many challenging elements that came with it, this stage is one of the most complex productions we’ve ever worked on, and one that will continue to inspire us for a very long time.”

IEM Oakland 2017 behind us
Yet, another amazing esports event behind us. Intel Extreme Masters has been organized by ESL in Oracle arena, Oakland. It was our first esports event in West Coast and I can say that having trusted partners all around the world is even more then having warehouse full of own equipment. Of course we have a lot of lighting, video and audio gear but shipping it to USA doesn’t make a sense.
Global production mean, to have right people in right place in right time. Having wide network of industry friends and being part of PRG Alliance give us comfort to design and build stages almost in every country and evert venue, by the way we are now on site check in Kuala Lumpur.
We came to Oakland around 5 days before the show, of course everything has been per-produced weeks before so whole setup goes smoothly. What I still miss that many venues doesn’t have 3D model of the arena which is very helpful to design the stage and place all hanging points in right place.
IEM Oakland behind us, it was fantastic esports show, we been proud invited to do for ESL 🙂
Thank you ESL team 🙂

Fashion show in dome
Short presentation of the new 4F Olympic Collection wear which took place recently in Warsaw. The show, which was directed by Katarzyna Sokolowska, was organized in a big dome, right next to the Warsaw Olympic Center.
The entire dome inside was covered with mapping projections. It takes almost 7 days to build and rehearse the show which has only 13 minutes, but it was worth the time and effort.
See official 4F material from this show.

IEM 2017: World’s biggest e-sport arena is built in Poland
Do you know that world’s biggest e-sport arena is build in Poland ?
Once again, the ARAM company was responsible for the stage design as well as the complex technical production of Intel Extreme Masters 2017, an event that took place in Katowice and is probably biggest e-sport tournament in the world.
It is traditional that the Intel Extreme Masters finals are held in Katowice; in Spodek and in the International Conference Centre (MCK). It should be mentioned that stages designed and built by the Poles are considered the best in the world and shown globally as a model in many marketing materials. Apart from designing and building this gigantic multimedia stage, ARAM designed and built three smaller stages for IEM EXPO, along with TV studios for the needs of broadcasting, and the company also delivered equipment and structures for nearly 10 exhibition stands.
Opening ceremony VIDEO / YouTube
Every year we raise standards for IEM. We want the stage to surprise, to be even more interesting and breathtaking. It seems that we succeeded also this year. We received a lot of congratulations and words of recognition from many people from both e-sport and show-business sector from Poland and abroad.”
Our role is so much more than equipment rental. Operating in the ‘from design to effect’ model requires considerable commitment on our part in the early stage, but it gives comfort to the organizers. Working for nearly 5 years and knowing the needs of this specific e-sport market, we are able to design and build tailor-made stages, which are regarded globally as an example to be followed.
What is interesting, the tournament has expanded so much that this year the organizers decided to divide the event into two weekends; during the first one (25–26 February) we could see the finals of a popular game, League of Legends, whereas during the second IEM weekend (3–5 March) the Counter-Strike: Global Offensive and StarCraft II competitions as well as the IEM EXPO Fair took place in the International Conference Centre, where the participants competed in Heroes of the Storm and Cross Fire, and the Cybersport Polish Cup Finals were held.
IEM is a format of electronic sports competitions. Several years ago, the Germany-based ESL company decided to organize this event in Spodek in Katowice. Since then the event has been expanding so dynamically that every new edition is even more spectacular. Technologically developed stages, the latest lighting and multimedia elements available in the market, live integration of the stage and the game, advanced pyrotechnic effects; all for the visitors and spectators watching the games online so that they could watch their idols and the best players in the world competing, with even more pleasure.
